Search Form Tips
Our search system allows you to conduct more specific searches by use of plus (+), minus (-), and double quotes (").When entering a single search term into the search form the "+" is implied, meaning that if no records exist for that search term you will get no records for your query. However, if you enter two search terms (without the prefixes), records that match either search term will be returned.
Using + and -
By adding a + or - prefix to a search term you can specify records that include or exclude the search term that was prefixed. For instance, if you were searching for records which contain the word "perfume" but not "cheap" you would type: +perfume -cheap
Double Quotes
Multiple word search terms should be enclosed in double quotes. If you wanted to see all records which contain the phrase "leather purses" but not "fake" you would type: +"leather purses" -fake
Wildcards
All search terms in this search system are considered wildcards. What this means is that the engine will search for any instance of the search term, whether or not it is contained within a word. So if you typed just the letter "a" into the search form you would get back all records which contain the letter "a" not just records which contain the word "a".
LimitationsThe system is limited to seven search terms. All terms after the seventh one will be ignored. This system does not support boolean operators. Most standard keyboard characters (alphanumeric anyway) are allowed.
